Reachfar was founded by Stuart Thomson after a stint in academia at Oxford and a decade teaching in leading independent schools in England and Scotland, including experience as a chaplain, Head of Department and Housemaster. He has presented CPD extensively and sat through too much!
ABOUT US
DR STUART THOMSON
Stuart stumbled into teaching, after stumbling into Oxford. He studied Classics and English at the University of Sydney, and then read for his doctorate at Oxford on a Clarendon Scholarship. His experience tutoring undergraduates made him fall in love with teaching. He has been a Head of Department, Housemaster, and led debating at a number of leading UK boarding schools, and publishes both academic research and school textbooks.

CHARLOTTE MACDONALD
Charlotte read for her Masters in Biochemistry at Corpus Christi College, Oxford and worked at University College, Oxford, before going into teaching. She has taught in both day and boarding independent schools, and has been a Head of Year and Head of Department. She is passionate champion of STEM subjects not as a functional means to a career, but as realms of fascination and delight on their own terms.
